These two 30′ tall stained glass lancet windows, installed in Westminster Abbey in 1994 are examples of Graham Jones’ superb craftsmanship. They were made in his own studio over an eighteen-month period. They are excellent example of a meeting of modern abstract language and the strong graphic disciplines of gothic stained glass. The more detail you look, the more they feel like contemporary paintings, but at a glance they blend into the powerful idiom of the architecture.
